Declare the contents and insurance of each box when generating an international shipment

Declare the contents and insurance of each box when generating an international shipment
7 de September, 2026 1 min de lectura

In the Create Shipment confirmation, you can declare the products for an international shipment from Split by Box. Choose Same Content to repeat the list across all boxes, or Different per Box to fill in each one separately. The declared value is calculated from price and quantity, and you can turn on Envia Insurance box by box. The system replicates or splits the content depending on the mode, and shows the total insured amount in the summary. You'd use this when sending kits, multiple boxes, or different values, or when you only want to insure some of them. This way, the commercial invoice matches what's in each parcel and you reduce the risk of customs holding up the shipment.

Benefits

  • Choose whether all the boxes carry the same content or each one declares different products, value, and insurance.
  • The declared value is calculated from price and quantity, and the summary adds up the insured amount for the boxes you protected.
  • Your buyer and customs see the actual contents of each box, which reduces holds and claims over a mismatched value.

Note

This declaration appears when you confirm the label, after getting a quote. For a domestic shipment or consolidated cargo, the form is different.
